Job Scope:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all company health & safety practices and procedures.
- Ensure that task related SOPs & checklists are adhered to at all times.
- Assist line manager with major and minor projects to be detailed in objectives.
- Compile daily, weekly, monthly reports as stipulated by the line manager.
- Focus areas include but are not limited to: Maintenance, fault finding and repairs, conveyor belts, screens, crushers, fluid drives, gear boxes, cyclones, compressors, pumps, basic electricity.
- Dryer temperature control – thermodynamics, combustion chambers and heat transfer.
- Pump control.
- Water reticulation.
- Calculation of pulley sizes and speed of mechanical engineering design.
- Design of structures – calculation of struts and ties.
Qualifications; Experience; Knowledge, skills and attributes:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum basic level competency in excel,
- word & powerpoint
- Problem solving
- Team player
- Assertiveness
- Good employee relations
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Self-motivating
- Eager to learn
